 at Michaels thinking they were going to try and draw them off. they only had one timeout left. Eagles lose the challenge, line up to go for it, dallas was offsides, but jackson didn't snap it and then peters flinched.
McNabb picked off by Jenkins on the first play following the punt, plus they called a facemask penalty on Maclin. Dallas now has it in Eagles territory. Eagles defense can't get any rest.
Michaels keeps floating the idea of the Eagles trying to draw the Cowboys offsides. Hey Al, what do you not understand about the Eagles only having one timeout left? Anyway, blown call by the officials. Eagles try a QB sneak on 4th and inches. McNabb got it, but the officials with a terrible spot, marked him as somehow having no gain. Reid challenges. If the Eagles lose, they'll be out of timeouts. Either way, they're out of challenges.
blown call leads to a Dallas TD. Sheldon Brown got toasted. He looked into the backfield and let Austin by him, and Homo hit him for a TD.
ref says offense when he means defense. Eagles driving. 7 minutes left, Eagles down 7. Ball is across midfield.
Akers drills a 52 yard FG. One of the great kicking games I've seen. Eagles were facing a 4th and 11. Had it been shorter, they might've gone for it, because they need a TD. Eagles kick off with no timeouts. If Dallas gets two first downs, this one is probably over.
homo to witten first down, and now this one is over. 3rd and 3. Had Philly stopped them, they would've had a chance.
so stats they pointed out on the postgame: 1)Jim Caldwell is the third coach in NFL history to begin his head coaching career with eight straight wins (first two were a coach in 1961 and Potsy Clark of Portsmouth in 1931). 2)Cedric Benson became the first running back since Jerome Bettis five years ago to go for 100 yards twice in one season against Baltimore (since I assume this doesn't count playoffs, only AFC North opponents have the chance). 3)Kurt Warner set a new record for longest amount of time in between five TD pass games. Last one for him was October 10, 1999. Pretty surprising. Arizona has had some huge scoring games. also, Chris Henry is out for the season with a broken forearm.
What he probably understands is that the logical thing would be that they would just take a delay of game and punt, since 5 yards would be fairly irrelevant from that field position. Clever.
Clark started 8-0 with the Spartans. He lost his 9th game to the Giants. Wally Lemm won his first 11 games as a head coach. 9 came in the 1961 regular season with the Oilers. He coached the Oilers to a victory in the 1961 AFL Championship Game. He coached the Cardinals to a win in Week 1 of the 1962 season. Lemm had replaced the fired Lou Rymkus after 5 games in 1961. The Oilers were 1-3-1. Lemm moved on to the Cardinals following the season. Pop Ivy did the opposite. He coached the Cardinals in 1961 and Oilers in 1962.
Broncos haven't worn their blue jerseys since Week 2 Week 1- blue Week 2- blue Week 3- white Week 4- orange Week 5- mustard throwbacks Week 6- white throwbacks Week 7- bye Week 8- white Week 9- orange
^ Ya, Orton can really sling the rock. But with McDaniels, it's hard to tell because Cassel looked good under his coaching and in his system too.
