I don't know who to root for next week now that I've thought about it.

Rutgers could beat Louisville and WVU could later beat Rutgers. WVU would then probably play in a BCS bowl. That scenario would be to junc's delight as no Big East team would play for the national title. As a WVU fan it would be to my delight. As a Big East fan, it wouldn't exactly be to my delight.

But if Rutgers wins out, they'll get a BCS bid. It may or may not be enough for them to play in the BCS National Title Game. Wow, was that a strange sentence. But it's not crazy. If RU goes undefeated an argument can be made they should play in the title game.

By the way, I'll be in Morgantown next weekend. I will be tailgating and then will go across the street to Kegler's to watch the game versus Cincinnati. Cincinnati is getting better and may very well play in a bowl, so the Mountaineers may not have an easy time.

If Rutgers were to win their next two games, I may go to see them on 11/25 against Syracuse. Syracuse is the one Big East team I don't like. Pittsburgh is tough to take too, but not as much as Syracuse. Dome wussies with god-awful uniforms.

Cakes, how you come to be a WVU fan anyway? For me, I grew up mostly in WV through junior high and high school. Are you from the area?

I went to school there one year before transferring and graduating from another Big East school. That one doesn't have a football team, so I stuck with WVU as my favorite college football team. I'm going to Morgantown next weekend to meet up with some of my old friends from Lyon Tower. (My permanent address has always been in New Jersey.)

Ahhh... that explains it. Have fun visiting the old school. I have got to get back for a game sometime myself. I don't go to WV very often at this point, but I still have a a few friends living in and around Charleston.

Slaton might be the top back in the country, but he's not coming out for at least a year or two.

As far as I'm concerned, he is nothing more than a change of pace back or third down back until he proves he can put on weight and handle the punishment or plays in a non-gimmick offense.

Yeah he is a great college player but he is going to get pounded in the pros.

Slaton's forearm hurt them badly. It had a lot to do with his two fumbles, and he missed like an entire quarter because of it.

They couldn't stop Louisville's passing game, but that's nothing new. If Slaton was OK, they probably could have matched them score for score.
