Which of course makes sense, 3-4 vs. 4-3.

Very nice posts, btw. You guys forgot about l'il Moss on the Giants. Also, I realize this is nitpicking, but Wallace Wright isn't a totally unproven commodity. He's proven he gives the Jets immediate value on special teams while he grows and develops as a receiver.

Doesn't really affect your analysis anyway, though.

The Giants have next to nothing in terms of proven talent at WR. Steve Smith is the only one to see a full season as a starter, and that was at slot WR. Having said that, I expect Hixon to put up some big numbers this year. He has great speed, good height, and has shown he has the agility and quickness to be a YAC threat. Last year was really the 1st time he was called upon to be a focal point of the offense. I think he's going to be physically and mentally ready to make an impact...or at least this is what I say when I pray every night.

We did think about including Moss, and several other players too. I think Moss ends up being cut. He was very impressive during day 1 of last week's 3 day OTA...then he pulled a hammy and missed the final 2 days. He's basically had 2 settings with the Giants, unhealthy or unproductive.

As far as Wright's special teams ability is concerned, we did consider including David Tyree in this analysis to be a counterpoint of sorts. However we couldn't get away from the fact that both of them are far more important to special teams than to the passing game. Wright was only including because Sanchez had a number of big plays with him during the OTAs.

I have to disagree with you on this one. Don't forget about Grey Ruegamer and Kevin Boothe, they both have starter experience and can play all three interior positions on the oline. Guy Whimper has filled in effectively at both tackle positions and William Beatty is an impressive athlete at the tackle position. I think the Giants have pretty good oline depth.
