yes it is idziks fault this win while nice (I always want to win) the lack of depth while still having resources is pitiful. he signed patterson a guy who played in 8 games in the last two years. That is what you cal a fall back. Horrid he had drc in the building and let him leave knowing we needed a corner. While drc had a below average yr we needed a better corner

Still too much cushion given by our Dbs. Basically giving away 8 yards on sideline routes, in other words easy to get first downs. If they're so afraid of giving up long plays then why not give the cushion on that last minute bomb. The kid looked good as he has in practice. He could end up earning a permanent job.

Again who did you want him to sign. There were only a few better than Patterson corners available and they tried to sign two of them (unsuccessfully). There was competition and the players signed with other teams. The Steelers also have a beat up secondary as do a lot of other teams.

    .

Yes, - giving up the underneath routes has been Rex's philosophy for quite some time. These lead to higher completion %s and hence a higher QBR.
Be mindful during this horrid stretch, we have faced THE BEST QBs in the NFL --- Rodgers, Cutler (maybe not), Stafford, Manning, Brady, Rivers and Rothlisberger.

He played very well today.. Wasn't he on someone's practice squad before last weeks game? He's an instant upgrade over Walls... Now if we could just get rid of Phillip Adams...

Speaking of Cro he scored a TD today on a fumble recovery. Plus leads his team in INT's.

Cro again. Jesus Christ. The guy was horrible last season. I haven't seen any of his games but I read today he picked up a fumble and returned if for a TD. Their decision was not to re-sign him. In retrospect a mistake. And who knows maybe he wanted to sign with the Cardinals. They're a better team with a much better head coach. Plus he plays alongside Patrick Peterson.

Cro came out and said he wanted to stay a Jets. Just like Revis did. Also when you let a guy go and he goes play great like Cro playing that on the GM who cut him. Just like when draft picks don't work out that on the GM. So far 3\4 of Idzik draft and FA picks have not worked out. To me that GM sucks.

Revis may have wanted to be a Jet but he wanted a lot of money more.

Gotta respect antonio brown, bryant, and wheaton....they all have speed. Limit the big plays for Big Ben and make him hold onto the ball and pray for a coverage sack. We let them run free a bit when we played zone, but as long as someone was able to make the tackle it was fine. You have a point in the red zone though....Phillip Adams gave way to much cushion to brown when brown embarrassed him and almost scored. Old rex with competent corner play would have pressed him with an all out blitz...but you gotta work with what you have.

Not sure anyone could've seen Cro bouncing back like he has. I was 100% okay with letting him go BUT after we failed to get DRC and passed on Revis only a moron would choose Dimitri Patterson over Antonio Cromartie at the same price tag (as if $ was even a concern).

Give it a rest PCL. Patterson is an injury prone piece of shit and probably the 7th or 8th best DB on the market during FA. I dont know what you have against Cro but you seem to have some sort of vendetta because every thread you love to jump in and diss the guy when he played his ass off last year hurt.

Rex has had to do the bold recently due to his personnel but it's actually the antithesis of his philosophy.

Adams played well except for that 80 yards TD which was a broken play where our FS, Landry did not do his job.
