I agree. I'd rather they play whoever wins the job. My prediction is Chad wins it, so I voted for him.

Kellen Clemens. I can't stand to watch Chad Check down after being given 15 seconds to throw ever again!

You have tio give Clemens a shot from the start of camp and see what he can do with:

1 - A full training camp as starter
    2 - A revamped O-line
    3 - A re-energinized running game

And you CANNOT panic and pull the plug on him for at least 6 games. He needs to be able to just go out and play and not worry that every bad throw or missed read will get him yanked.

You commit to a guy and stick to it until you've exhausted that option fully.

I want who ever looks superior in training camp and pre-season, even if it ends up being Flacco.

KC all the way! I like QBs that can throw over 15 yards and don't get our WRs killed by helium filled floaters.

If Clemens is starting, that is a good thing... if Pennington is our backup, that is a very good thing... if Pennington is starting, that is a very very bad thing.

They way we are wheeling and dealing, I have not ruled out Peyton Manning starting for us.

I used to say Clemens and I still do, but I will admit that when Pennington came into the game against the Pats in our second meeting, I was really impressed, although he of course ended up throwing a pick because he was abusing the sideline routes. Still though, his poise was surprising and reminded me of what we used to love about him.

If only he could throw the deep ball... He has everything else a QB needs. :(

If we get the OL it looks like we're getting both Kellen and Chad will get Tom Brady time to do what they will.

I think we are in for some fun times. This is going to be a helluva competition -- not only between Kellen and Chad about seeing who gets the ball to throw, but also what about the runners "jetting" through those dumptruck sized holes. The skill players will be competing to see who takes it to the house next.

The best thing about all these free agent pickups is that they are mutually reinforcing for the OL and for the team as a whole. The morale and the resolve to win has got to be sky high on the offense.

These moves really enforce the starting over this year mantra that Mangini has been preaching. They show that the NYJ FO and CS really mean what they are saying.

These people have really put their money where their mouth is. As fans, that's all we can ask for.

Starting Chad is a waste of this offseason.

I think the OL is going to be so dominating we should draft McFadden and run the wishbone. We don't need to throw the football and we shouldn't waste a pick on someone who can.

i see alot of comments on chads inability to lead us from behind, and clemens won 3 to chads one. what i dont see is our defense caused a couple of chads loses, and caused a couple of kellens victories. does anybody remember?

Polls like this only make an underdog story that much sweeter.

A healthy Pennington gives this team its best chance to win. Clemens has the arm no doubt, but he hasn't developed Chad's intangibles yet.
