I guess it would be amusing if it wasn't for the fact that you're ignorant to the REASON. The REASON Sanchez is not as effective in the pocket is because the offensive line provides no pocket! Hard to be an effective pocket passer when the defensive line is crumbling in on you immediately.
This person talks just to talk... Pretty soon their arguments will start to run into each other, if they haven't already. Sorta like how he just mentioned in this post that the WR's are unable to get open as a reason for Sanchez's struggles.
He also likes to spray dumb around the boards with his sock puppet alt #28Martin. Too much dumb for just one login i guess.
Yes.....yes, you are.... I agree with the initial post though, Sanchez is an athletic quarterback, I feel we should use his athleticism more. He's not a bad QB throwing on the move with the option to run.
I don't know, I see that same play action bootleg to Sanchez's right that usually involves Keller on a crossing route 10 yards out. Usually doesn't work because Schotty calls it 10 times a game and the team can't develop the run before-hand.
............. Penn State! Seems to me that we run bootleg roll-outs pretty often, and Sanchez holds onto the ball too long, sets his feet, and gets crushed from behind just as he releases the ball. I haven't gone through the game films to count how many times though. I just remember screaming "THROW THE FUCKING BALL!" at the TV more than once.
The winning TD pass comes on a play where they rolled out Sanchez...JUST LIKE I SAID THEY SHOULD DO WITH SANCHEZ IN THIS THREAD..... which allows the team to take advantage of his athletic skills, gave him the time to read the field, spot the open man and make the right throw. Man, I'm tired of being RIGHT!!
The roll out isn't exactly impossible to defend if you know it's coming. The Jets played it too often in the Raiders game (I think) and Mark was rolling out straight into a defender setting up 3rd-18 or so.
We just beat the Bills on a Sanchez roll out with 1 min to go. Sanchez thru a TD strike to #10 just before going out of bounds. Plus when a QB rolls out it's a lot easier to toss the ball away and not get a grounding flag.
I'm not against it in general; on the contrary it's one of Mark's strengths. Which is why opposing teams prepare for it. And since it isn't hard to counter, it's silly to say "why don't we do it more often". There's a lot to criticize in Schotty's strategy; this is fairly straight-forward. We can't do this more than a few times a game.
Also when you roll out you can tuck and run pretty easily, this preventing throwing into the middle of the defense for pick sixes.
if all sanchez do is rollouts all game long dont you think defenses would adjust to it? sanchez has his moments where he stands in the pocket and reads the defense and makes plays. he's just inconsistent.
