Vilma takes the time every Tuesday to go on Beningo's show and lately all Joe does is ream him out. Joe owes Vilma better than that. If I was Vilma, I'd tell him to stick his show up his @ss.

from a fans point of view i thought the questions were fair..there is definitely something fishy going on with this..........and Vilma's reluctance to answer a simple question about what the injury actually is only lends itself to more speculation about the legitimacy of the story. I think that's all Evan and Joe were trying to get out of him.....is he really injured or not

there's no reason to remain secret about it if he's out for the season, any detail about the injury are not going to give the opposition an advantage in this case. The only reason I can think of re why he would still hide the details would possibly be because it might hurt his potential trade value

I share Joe's suspicion about this and applaud his questions while he may have chosen his actual words poorly...... I understood what he was trying to get at

So what part of the Boston area did you say you're from?

Joe is just trying to get some honesty out of Vilma, and I think he's getting pissed that Vilma won't level with him.

It's kind of frustrating as a journalist to have someone agree to participate in what is supposed to be a candid discussion, yet remain tight lipped. Joe probably feels a little duped right now, as do many passionate Jet fans.

Right. I'm from Boston. I heard Vilma talk, choked on my chowder, and ran right over.

Do you not see how stupid what we're doing across the board is? Seriously. Why did we hire this guy!? What had he done? Nothing. He did nothing. He wasn't Weiss. He wasn't Crennell. He was nothing but a guy to do random errands. Pennington's a disaster, but not as bad as he looks now. The evidence is all there.

its frustrating for joe b/c he thought he landed a big story last week - that controversy was coming out on his show - and then Vilma comes on his show this week and is like "c'mon joe - do you really think I was telling you the truth?"

Joe was probably a little embarrassed and offended.

No one likes to be bullshitted. Vilma is straight up bullshitting Joe and Joe, being the guy he is, will call him on it.

Make the Playoffs and then go 1-7. We all know that Playoff business last year was an accident more than anything.

You should be agreeing with me "namath4ever" We'd be better off with a drunken, ben gay wearing, Suzie Kolbert kissing Namath over Clemens right now. Not my fault Girlgini sucks.

  11. Joe B has a point of Vilma's matter of fact attitude. But he needs to shut up about the spygate thing...if Mangini hadnt had called out BB..it may still be going on.

i know this may not be popular to say bur i think it should be handled in closed quarters between the team and not the media.

I dont care about the interview.

I DO care that we had a real MLB playing for us last week.

Harris has a ton of potential. I was happy when he got a sack but I was happier when he stuffed a run play at the line of scrimmage.

IMO Harris proves we got two solid draft choices on defense this year that can start in this league.

Like most I am distressed that Mangini didn't addrress the line problems. But having two rookies starting and making an impact on defense is nothing to scoff at either. We ARE rebuilding. It takes time.

    I still beleive in coach.

You don't win 10 games in the NFL by accident. If you are a Jets fan, which I doubt, you are an example of why Jets fans are so hated by everyone, including the players.

Vilma gets paid to appear in that slot. Just like Torre and Randolp get paid to go Mike and Chris

Tangini was obviously right on the money with Harris and Revis.

Barry Switzer won a Superbowl with the Cowboys the year after Jimmy Johnson left. The he sucked it up after that. It was carry-over from before. The 10 wins of the Girlgini Jets is the same thing.

Don't call me out because I want a good coach. That doesn't make me a bad fan. Heck, the Chargers fired a guy that was 14-2. So I think Girlgini being on track to run that record in reverse is reason enough to want him gone.

They also get a gift certificate to Umberto's Clam House. That makes it more than well worth it.
