If Melky made that play in CF that he makes some of the time, Kennedy has a no-hitter through 7, and the Yankees would be winning 1-0.

    Kennedy through 7 IP:
    88 pitches
    58 strikes (66%)
    1 H
    1 ER
    3 BB
    7 SO

Nice Kennedy is still out there. Gosh, I love these baby bombers. Do you have any idea what the rotation is going to be from here on out with Moos pitching well last night?

Kennedy is done for the night.

    7+ IP
    93 pitches
    59 Strikes (63%)
    1 H
    1 ER
    4 BB
    7 SO
    1.89 ERA

As for the rotation, Moose will get at least another start, and if he does well they may go with a 6-man rotation for the remainder of the season. Give all the starters a little more rest going into the playoffs.

i hate torre, why the hell does he bring in a loser like britton in a well ptched game, he did this in LAA and then again with detroit with sean henn. these guys arent big league pitchers and shouldnt be pitching in big spots like this.. i hate torre so much.. bring in farnsworth, or edwar, or jus someone else.. not britton or veras.. he was savin the pen for boston this weekend, but with this loss the team moves further and further behind boston .. i cant stand torre

Did it seem like Joe was cutting corners and hoping to win this game? The call to Britton was absurd, and I agree with you he should have went to Farns...Edwar pitched last night I believe.

Edwar pitched the last 2 nights, and Farnsworth is out with a sore neck.

Why are guys still so obsessed with the division? We lost it weeks, if not months ago. Joe tried to preserve some of the staff for the coming games. We still need to defend the wild card lead.

Stop worrying about the division already. Making the playoffs is making the playoffs. Let's just hope we draw Cleveland.

there still had to be someone who wasnt named chris britton, or jose veras.. bring in MO.. he can pitch an inning.. he pitched 1.1 last night, but still.. its ridiculous to bring in britton.. torre was coaching fridays game on thursday.. and now this weekend is even more of an uphill battle ten it was entering todays game

Personally, I wanted to see Ohlendorf pitch the 9th, but maybe thats because I'm a sucker for the rookies/young guys

At this point all games are important and I made no reference to the division. I just found it curious Joe brought Britton into the game in this situation, the only thing I see is that Joe was testing his fortitude to see if he is worthy to the post season roster.

The win was there for the taking and it seemed like the Yanks let it slide by IMO, and not to be redundant ALL games at this point cannot be conceded.

Farsnworth was unavailable as was joba. he was lmited w/ what he could do. we had plenty of opprtunties to score runs but we couldn't get big hits. What a terrible 3 days, we lost a game we should have won and Boston won 2 games they should have lost.

That's the best point of all.

In the 9th, we had the bases loaded, and scored none. The pitching didn't lose that game.

The win was not there for the taking.
