Cano was clearly out on that play.

 

In his defense, the rain delay may have hurt.

 

He looked fine to me the first inning after the rain delay

 

It's really incredible how much better Giambi is at the plate when he plays 1B. It doesn't matter how bad he is in the field, the best possible team we can field includes Giambi at 1B.

 

Yeah I know, I thought so too. Who knows though. He had a rough first inning to begin with. He's thrown over 70 pitches already. I'm really hoping we can knock him out early, then beat on the bullpen a bit more.

I was just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he isn't reliable, the Sox are in deep trouble the rest of the way out.

 

Absolutely. Plus, if you look a couple pages back, he isn't a defensive liability. To me, there is no question he should be the full-time first baseman.
