2 in a row. Buntin' Bobby is coming around, ARod is ok after the injury scare, the arms are pitching well. I think this is our last stand, let's win these last few series heading into the break then we have a favorable first few weeks of the 2nd half, if we are not w/in striking distance by the end of this month we'll be done.
I'm was so estatic to see Canue blast that shot... Great pitching thus far and Moose is in a big game against the best pitcher in baseball to take this series right now instead of having to see some no-name Twin pitcher shutdown the lineup against Igawa.
I discussed this like 3 weeks ago. Back before the last winning streak. The Yankees schedule post-break is as easy as the pre-break schedule was hard. As long as they play like they have for the past couple games, they can get back in the WC race. But they need to be consistent. The other thing I've been saying over and over, which no one wants to pay attention to outside of Yankees fans, is that head-to-heads don't matter when it comes to the wild card. All that matters is wins. Playing an easier schedule in the last 2.5 months allows us to get back in the race. Plus, we still have to play Boston, but the rest of the division is not that good, including Toronto. The AL Central is going to beat the snot out of each other in the second half. If we're consistent, we're in October. That's the only, albeit rather large, if.
Moose with an unearned run after the Jeter error... 1-0 Minny bottom 1st. Melky led off with a single.
It's very bad to be off to a 1-0 deficit vs. Santana. We need a run right here. Is ARod out? I just turned the game on and saw Cairo in again.
I'd assume he is in...I noticed Thompson is in right today...I saw ARod warming up when Cairo was batting, so I think he is in.
Nice contact by Thompson. I want to see him play more often. EDIT: And no, not soley because of that contact.
Heh, my son with the sharp eye. He just pointed out that the ticker at the top of the screen had said it was the bottom of the third, though the Yankees were on the field.
Heh, I honestly don't notice. I know how many guys are on base at any given point, so I don't look. The only time I look is to check the score when I turn it on late, or at the count.
